Phantastische Tierwesen - Winterthurs Versprechen

exhibition with Michael Reinhold and Tim Hergersberg, OXYD Winterthur 2020

In the exhibition "Phantastische Tierwesen – Winterthurs Versprechen" , Luca Harlacher,

Michaël Reinhold and Tim Hergersberg transformed the exhibition space into an aesthetic playground, a utopia limited by space and time, where their own rules apply. Familiar objects were alienated and placed in unusual contexts, taboos were transgressed and ignored; the decorative took on a function, the functional became decorative.

In their practice, Luca Harlacher, Michaël Reinhold and Tim Hergersberg deal with the omnipresent interpenetration of culture and play as well as their interrelation in a multi-layered way. They create a space of possibility that allows surprising perspectives on the familiar and provokes new ways of thinking. The familiar and the clandestine transfer into the irritating and the uncanny or vice versa.
